Goal : Build Intelligent Avatar Development Frameworks

What is ubiAvatar?

  • Proactively reacts according to ubiAvatar¡¯s affect and drive. (Proactive)
  • Generates the autonomous behavior patterns suitable for ubiAvatar¡¯s personality. (Autonomous)
  • Learns and evolves ubiAvatar¡¯s motivations and behavior patterns. (Evolutionary)

vr-UCAM

(A Unified Context-aware Application Model for Virtual Enviornments)

  • Build the Framework for designing Context-aware life-like objects
    • Apply context-awareness to virtual objects
    • Offers the personalized reactions according to context
    • Interacts with human participants in real time and Shows adaptation suitable for the situation

Core Technolgies

1. Context-based Perception Engine

    • Extract information of user's interaction through vision-based intuitive user interface
      • Offer tangible objects for natural interaction with virtual environments
      • Seamlessly integrate real and virtual environments by exploitng augmented reality(AR) technologies

2. Adaptive Motivation Engine

    • Design the Self-growing Affect & Drive Engine
      • Manage states of affect and drive of intelligent objects
      • Develope adaptive movitation-driven learning mechanisms

3. Evolutionary Behavior Engine

  • Design Self-growing Behavior network
    • Generate new behaviors by combining basic behavior sets
  • Develop adaptive behavior selection algorithms
    • Determine proper behaviors by the input of Perception and Motivaion Engine
